Sometimes a break is the best medicine when your mojo is a no go. Dragging your feet and trying to force yourself back into a groove doesn’t always work.
My mind sometimes has a way of taking over when my body would just like to chill especially, in times of stress. I’m finding that 2 of the best remedies are exercise and a change of scenery. The first is easier than the second but either seem to go a long way to lift the fog and turn off the mind. Just an hour of physical activity like a jog or walk works wonders. When a park is close by getting lost in nature while moving purposefully through it is refreshing. Getting those endorphins pulsing is your own personal prescription with no co-pay costs.
If you’re able to get away even better. I escaped to Wellington, Florida to hang out with my bff Matt and his Dressage stallion Qasanova. Going to the barn each day to watch their training sessions was just the medicine I needed. Lots of sun, activity and stimulation did a lot to clear my head. Doing something you really love is all you need to lift the fog. So tune out the noise in your head and start moving. You’ll feel like a new person before you know it.
