One Year Ago, Today…..Google’s Photo App

This time last year, Anton and I were in Germany for a 3 week trip that would end with a bang. It’s easy to lose track of time but the Google Photos App for IOS devices like the IPhone and Ipad, and  the Google photos App for Android devices do an excellent job of not letting you forget. The app is so worthwhile especially if you take pictures as much as I do. Google Photo App has a charming feature that shows you what you did or where you were a year ago today, 3 years ago today and on and on back in time. So much has happened in this year that its great to look back at moments that were so great and so off the beaten path of our everyday lives.

Maybe you should consider adding that app to your computer, tablet and smartphone. Google keeps track of your images, stores them in the cloud and makes them easily accessed from any browser anywhere at a moment’s notice. In addition to serving up pictures from that particular day, Google goes further creating collages, animations and slide show presentations that are delightful particularly if that sort of thing is beyond your practical and aesthetic abilities. Oh, and it’s free…

No more endless scrolling through thousands of images to find the one you’re after. Just enter a description on the search line and presto! up pops the image/images.

Years from now you’ll be reminded of just how special that occasion was. On top of that when you go to share some obscure image of say your wedding, that little pair of lederhosen you wish you’d bought or a view of that lake that takes your breath away, you’ll be able to bring it up on your computer or smart phone before everyone loses patience and interest!
